Sinema Legislation Continues Military Pay, Blocks Pay for Congress During Shutdown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema (AZ-09) is working to ensure military members, not members of Congress, are paid during the government shutdown.

“Arizonans know if you don’t do you job, you don’t get paid. The same should be true for Congress,” said Congresswoman Sinema. “Our legislation stops pay for members of Congress and ensures military members and first responders continue to get paid on time. It’s time for Congress to stop the partisan games and end this shutdown now.”
