Sinema Statement on CHIP Reauthorization

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House of Representatives today passed the Community Health and Medical Professionals Improve Our Nation Act (H.R. 3922), bipartisan legislation which includes a five year reauthorization of the Children’s Health Insurance Plan (CHIP). Congresswoman Sinema released the following statement after the vote:

“When Congress missed the September 30 reauthorization deadline, the CHIP program expired and left more than 22,000 low-income Arizonans in jeopardy of losing their health coverage. This bipartisan solution fully funds CHIP and ensures KidsCare can continue providing health coverage to Arizona kids. I will continue to work with members on both sides of the aisle to ensure Arizona families have the affordable healthcare coverage they need.”
