Sinema Statement on H.R. 36, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema today voted against H.R. 36 – Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, legislation limiting women’s access to reproductive health care. Congresswoman Sinema released the following statement after the vote:

“It’s wrong for politicians to use women’s health to score political points. A woman, her family, and her doctor should decide what is best for her health, not Washington politicians. Congress needs to get to work and focus on what’s important to Arizona – taking care of our veterans, keeping our country safe, and ensuring economic security for hardworking families."
