Sinema Statement on Short-Term Spending Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema (AZ-09) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed a continuing resolution to fund the government through March 22nd.

“Broken Washington has once again left us with a choice between bad or worse. I voted yes because this bill makes progress on issues important to Arizona, including funding community health centers, giving our military a raise, and avoiding a government shutdown. It does not end the wasteful cycle of continuing resolutions or address other critical issues like securing our border or protecting Dreamers.

“We have solutions to these challenges. It is time for Congress to do the hard work to create a long-term budget, fund our military, secure our border, and protect Dreamers. Washington politicians who stand in the way of these solutions should step aside and let us get to work.”
