Sinema Votes to Prevent a Government Shutdown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema (AZ-09) today voted on legislation to prevent a government shutdown. She released the following statement after the vote:

“I voted against a government shutdown because these partisan games are dangerous and irresponsible. Arizonans deserve better. Today’s bill keeps our government open, funds KidsCare and community health centers, and ensures veterans continue receiving timely care.

“Let’s be clear - this is not the way government should operate. It’s time for Congress to do the hard work and come up with a long-term funding solution that protects our economic and national security. I’m ready to get to work.”
