Sinema: We Must Fix the Broken System – No Excuses

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House of Representatives today passed legislation, cosponsored by Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema, to require mandatory sexual harassment training for members of Congress and staff.  Congresswoman Sinema released the following statement after the vote:

“No excuses, no exceptions. Americans put trust in their elected officials, and the halls of Congress should be an example for workplaces across the country. Sexual harassment is too common in offices, classrooms, boardrooms, and businesses across the country. Everyone should be able to go work and do their jobs without feeling unsafe or threatened. The system is broken and demands greater transparency and accountability. Passing this bill is the first step in putting an end to this unacceptable behavior.”
