Dear Friend, 

I’ve heard from too many families in our state who have lost a loved one to an opioid addiction or overdose. We are working together to find solutions that keep these drugs out of our communities and make treatment and recovery available to the thousands of Arizonans struggling with opioid addiction.

Hearing from those working on the frontlines of this crisis is critical. That’s why I sat down with law enforcement, health care experts, advocates, and providers to address the opioid crisis in Arizona.

We’ll keep fighting to protect AHCCCS—the largest provider of mental health and substance abuse treatment in our state—and other effective treatment programs on which Arizonans depend. We’re also working to find solutions that give doctors and law enforcement the tools they need to put an end to opioid trafficking across our borders. I won’t stop defending Arizona families and communities from these dangerous drugs.
